Full of It
I was talking to Christian on the phone discussing one of the cues for this film and Christian said, "try to embarrass yourself", which I thought was great direction. Those kinds of guidelines can be liberating. We recorded a small orchestra and mixed at (R.I.P.) Signet studios. I loved the floors in that place. We had to come up with a relatively traditional score in some places and hang onto the cool youth thing as well. This variety kept the process very rewarding creatively.
